Wooden handle cutlery: juniper or snakewood?
Juniper has a satin finish, small knots and a blond to honey colour, for a light look. Snakewood is polished and darker, brown shading into dark red, with markings like a snake's skin. Both are offered in every format, from the 5-piece set to the 28-piece canteen, so with wooden handle cutlery you can add single places later in the same wood. If you prefer horn, buffalo horn is polished black and comes in every set from 12 pieces up.

How to set cutlery on a table
Knife to the right of the plate, cutting edge facing in, fork to the left. The soup spoon goes to the right of the knife. The dessert spoon and fork go above the plate, and guests work inwards from the outside, course by course. In a 24-piece set, six places each get a knife and fork plus two spoons, soup and dessert, and the 5-piece set also includes a dessert fork.
